This bouncy surfacing can be installed in areas including pathways, play areas, play equipment areas and playgrounds. Soft impact tarmac rubber flooring or wetpour as it is commonly known in the UK, is a mixture of 2 rubbers which are mixed with a polyurethane PU binder and installed to the specified and designed area with a trowel and depth indicators. The rubbers involved are the base SBR and top EPDM and can give at least a year’s protection from a 3.0m Critical Fall Height.
This porous hard wearing safety flooring requires sub bases like no fines concrete, bitmac, tar macadam and asphalt as they are all solid bases and can normally be installed into any location, dimension and be tailored to suit most specifications and designs. The safer surfacing in playground and play areas can be designed job by job because there is several specifications from rubber mulch, safer pour to artificial grass.
Rubber surface graphic designs can also be constructed in the wetpour system, meaning that we can add a splash of colour, shapes and unusual designs like snakes and dinosaurs into your safety surfacing if required.
