Artificial Grass Repair Kit

Artificial Grass Repair Kits are designed to help anyone fix any damages to artificial grass. The main reason for inventing the kits is mainly for leisure centres who hire out sports pitches due to the inevitability over time of some seams and joints needing repairs for a various amount of reasons.

Also, without any repair kits being on site when these damages occur, the pitch will be forced to close and important revenue will consequently be lost. Our repair kits include everything required to provide a quick and effective fix to your pitch. They include:

  1. Geotextile Tape – For the seams of the carpet to be joint together and to ensure backing is fixed in place.
  2. Moisture Curling Glue – Single Component Curling Glue to prevent the seams from coming loose.
  3. Mastic Gun – To hold the glue to allow it to be set perfectly.
  4. Latex Gloves – To prevent the glue from getting on your hands.
  5. Spreader – This will be used to spread the glue evenly.

However, it is important to know that the kits do not include the synthetic turf surface should any be burnt or damaged but are for general seam joint repairs where the synthetic turf surfacing can be stuck back down.

Artificial turf first gained substantial attention in the 1960s, when it was used in the newly constructed Astrodome. The specific product used was developed by Monsanto and called AstroTurf; this term since then became a generic trademark for any artificial turf throughout the late 20th century. –Wikipedia

What is an Artificial Grass Repair Kit?

A Turf Repair Kit is created to ensure that your worn-out, shredded or damaged turf can be fixed easily and quickly. The kits do not contain the artificial grass required to for any burns or larger damages, but are essential for repairing general seam joins repairs in which the surfacing can be stuck down to the ground.

If the damaged area is only small, you will likely be able to fix it yourself with the use of these repair kits, however, if damages are more severe then it might take a team of contractors to assist you in finding the solution to your surface.

Regardless of whichever option you require, we are more than willing to help you! Please contact us today for more information or any assistance on which solution is best for you and our specialists will respond as soon as possible to help.

  1. Firstly, take out the latex gloves and put them on to protect your hands from the glue.
  2. Next, take the geotextile tape and carefully place it around the area in which the seams will be conjoined.
  3. Use the mastic gun to spread the glue evenly and use the spreader to spread the glue under the carpet.
