Sports Pitch Renovation

Many old sand filled, sand dressed, redgra or astro turf pitches are being replaced when they come to the end of their natural life, with a new 3G synthetic surfacing or new sports surfacing (ATP) to meet the customers exact specification. Upgrading to a third generation sports surface, (3G), can also generate extra revenue through  rental. Paying customers will always prefer to play on a new state of the art 3G artificial grass surface, rather than a tired old pitch.

We can carry out sports pitch renovation of all weather pitches (Nationally) and this is usually required because the existing synthetic turf has come to its end of life and the playing characteristics have diminished or are not being met. The new 3G synthetic surfacing can be installed to meet many accreditations from FA, FIH, IRB, RFU to FIFA 1* or FIFA 2*.

Replacement of Sports Pitch / All Weather Pitch

A sports pitch upgrade can be installed to accommodate multi sports purposes. Generally for schools and leisure centres, the primary sports are football, rugby, hockey, netball, basketball and tennis. We have a variety of different types of synthetic surfacing to offer the best playing characteristics for all these sports and the renovation of all weather pitches is becoming ever more popular, as improvements have been made in the new synthetic surfaces now on offer. These new 3G synthetic surfaces enhance any facility creating a  great new multi use games area (MUGA).

Replacing old sand filled, sand dressed or astro turf surfacing can be part of any sports pitch upgrade which can include new floodlighting and sports fencing, which can also be replaced. It may be possible to utilise the existing floodlighting columns and old chainlink fencing which can be upgraded to a sports rebound fence or even used to divide the sports pitch up into multiple 5-a-side ball courts, which obviously can increase revenue streams from rental.

Renovation of all weather pitch (ATP) can include the following:

• Ripping out existing old sand filled synthetic turf / sand dressed synthetic turf

• Removing existing old redgra / astro turf surfacing / all weather surface

• Upgrade from dynamic sub base to engineered sub base

• Create new macadam pathways

• Drainage / earthworks / foundations / kerbs / preliminaries / re-instatement

• Installing new insitu rubber shockpad or pre-formed shockpad

• Renovate or replace with new sports rebound fencing or spectator rail fence

• Renovation or supply new timber kickboards

• Renovate or supply new floodlighting system to meet a certain lux

• Supply and installation of new 3G artificial grass

• Infill sand and rubber to the new Third Generation Pitch (ATP)

• Install inlaid line markings to the third generation surfacing pitch (ATP)

• Sports Equipment / Ball Stop Netting / Football Posts

• Sports Maintenance / Repairs
